Abstract:
The paper deals with animacy as a possible subgender in the Russian language. The author claims the animacy to be the most fundamental grammatical cathegory of the Russian noun, opposite to the other Slavic languages, where it serves as a subgender. (MF)

Praca poświęcona kwestii możliwości traktowania żywotności jako możliwego podrodzaju w języku rosyjskim. Autor uważa, że żywotność w języku rosyjskim jest najbardziej istotną kategorią gramatyczną rzeczownika, w przeciwieństwie do innych języków słowiańskich, w których pełni funkcję podrodzaju. (MF)
