Abstract:
The author presents and specifies three meanings of a proper name that are known in logic and considers which of them are acceptable from the point of view of a natural language.
The first meaning of a proper name is exactly the same as a meaning of individual names, yet not associated with any content or denoting phrases of the type this and that. The second meaning is associated with one concrete object and excludes denoting phrases of the type this and that. The third meaning accepts the broadest scope, that is all objects having the same proper name. (PK)
