Abstract:
The paper shows acoustic correlates of stress in Standard Macedonian. Word stress in Macedonian is stabilized and located on the third syllable from the end, however, in connection with clitics it can also be shifted either to the left or to the right. The research shows that the main factor which differentiates syllables in a word is the time of duration of a vowel. Not only the place of stress has an impact on temporal changes. According to the research three points of a Macedonian word are marked by prosody: a) the beginning which is characterized by a relatively high level of intensity, b) the stressed syllable which is prolonged and slightly louder and c) the end of the word which is characterized by the lengthening and a considerable loss of intensity. W artykule zaprezentowano korelaty akustyczne akcentu w języku macedońskim. Akcent wyrazowy w języku macedońskim jest stały i usytuowany na trzeciej sylabie od końca. W połączeniach wyrazu z klitykami może ulegać przesunięciom zarówno w lewą, jak i w prawą stronę. Badania pokazują, że głównym czynnikiem różnicującym sylaby w wyrazie jest czas trwania samogłoski. Nie tylko jednak miejsce akcentu wpływa na zmiany temporalne. Wyniki pozwalają wskazać trzy punkty w macedońskim wyrazie, które są nacechowane prozodycznie, są to: a) początek wyrazu, który charakteryzuje się stosunkowo wysokim poziomem intensywności, b) sylaba akcentowana, która jest wzdłużona i nieznacznie wzmocniona oraz c) koniec wyrazu, gdzie dochodzi do wydłużenia artykulacji i spadku poziomu intensywności.
