The aim of the paper is to present the functions of an interlanguage used as a tertium comparationis for comparing two or more natural languages. Interlanguage is a tool for comparing languages on the same meaning plane, which ensures that the results have an equal status. In the authors' model the analytic paraphrase has been given a crucial place due to its ability to constitute a tool for analysis and give comparable results. (PK)

Przedmiotem artykułu jest język pośrednik, wykorzystywany jako tertium comparationis w badaniach porównawczych dwóch lub więcej języków naturalnych. Stanowi narzędzie umożliwiające równorzędne porównywanie języków w planie semantycznym. Autorzy wskazują również rolę parafrazy analitycznej jako ważnego i dającego dobre rezultaty środka analizy systemów językowych. (PK)
