Abstract:
The current situation of joker words in Croatian is presented from the interdisciplinary point of view. According to the author's definition joker words are the words that might be used as a substitute for a whole semantic or grammatical class. It appears to be a lexical phenomenon but its characteristics on the semantic level might lead to systemic changes in Croatian and in other Slavic languages. (PK)

Przedstawienie wyrazów "dżokerów" we współczesnym systemie języka chorwackiego w perspektywie interdyscyplinarnej. Pod pojęciem wyrazów "dżokerów" autorka rozumie jednostki leksykalne, które mogą być używane w miejsce klas semantycznych lub gramatycznych. Zagadnienie to sytuuje się w obrębie leksykologii, ale jego charakterystyka na płaszczyźnie semantycznej może prowadzić do zmian systemowych w języku chorwackim i innych językach słowiańskich. (PK)
