Abstract: The phenomenon of incompletely articulated quantification is considered based on the author's research on the semantic category of definiteness/indefiniteness in Bulgarian and Polish. The incompletely articulated quantification might occur in the nominal phrase as well as in the verbal phrase. The analysis of the material from the two languages leads to conclusion that in Polish due to poorer grammatical (morphological) system the phenomenon of incompletely articulated quantification occurs much more frequently than in Bulgarian which presents richer language system with articles and numerous verbal forms.
